JUNIOR LEAGUE OF LONDON (JLL) Hello summer! The Junior League of London (JLL) is proud to be celebrating 30 years of serving the London community this year. We are looking forward to celebrating our 30th Anniversary in many different ways to mark this special occasion, while continuing to pursue our mission of promoting voluntary service, developing the potential of women and improving the London community. We have also been on the move. In July, after over 20 wonderful years at the Lansdowne Club, the JLL moved east to call CAN Mezzanine, 49 - 51 East Road, London N1 6AH our new home. We now share an open plan office space with other charities, social enterprises and non-profits. This presents us with a new and exciting opportunity to be surrounded by similarly-minded organisations, while also being provided with sufficient space to hold our General Meetings, Committee and Board meetings, and LEAD (Learning, Education And Development) sessions. Our members continue to be very active in the London community. Over the past few months, our volunteers helped create around 30 interview outfits for Suited and Booted, which helps vulnerable, unemployed and low-income men into employment by providing interview clothing and interview advice. We also collected food items at the Kensington Tesco Superstore to support the Kensington Food Bank, and many members brought smiles and joy to more than 40 children at St Vincents Family Fun Day through a day of face painting, games and sunshine.
