JUNIOR NEWS | Kanga Cup It was mixed emotions for the Hume City Under 13 team as their week at the Kanga Cup came to an end today. Just missing out on the Finals despite only losing 1 game was a bitter pill to swallow but yesterday AIS coach Ufuk Talay made a surprise visit to speak to the team. The former Galatasaray and Sydney FC captain was keen to speak to the team after watching their eye catching performance over Coastal Spirit of New Zealand. He told the team to Always enjoy the game, listen and learn off your coach and most importantly, at your age, play with a smile Talay was impressed with the attractive passing and advised our coaches to keep encouraging the boys to show their creative skills and most crucially, keep working on their first touch. With a team forfeiting a consolation match this morning the Young stars left the tournament with 4 wins, 1 draw and 1 defeat. Most importantly the boys had an amazing experience and played some awesome football as the week went on Under 13 Coach Huseyin Saglam Said. A BIG well played to every single player, coach and parent who made the trip.
