JUNOS Turn It On Songwriter Contest Published on Jan 16, 2015 Two of our favourite local musicians - Steve Strongman and Terra Lightfoot – visited JUNO House in the Tourism Hamilton Visitor Centre recently to promote the JUNOS Turn It On Songwriter Contest. (they’re two of the judges!) The JUNO Awards are coming back to Hamilton in March 2015 and we’re looking for the perfect song to welcome them. Local songwriters are invited to submit an original song inspired by the tag line “Turn It On” and Hamilton. That is, Turn On, your energy, passion and excitement for Canadian music and Hamilton specifically. Winners receive a cash prize, Marshall Fridge, a recording session at Catharine North Studios and a chance to perform their song during JUNO Week. Contest is open to any Hamilton residents, 18 and over. Deadline for digital submissions is Jan. 30, 2015 11:59 p.m. And we don’t need anything too fancy.
