JUST A NAME. A name plays an important role in describing or identifying who we ar, what we ar and what we do. My msg 2 u dear friends 2 de is saying jst a name. The bible reading is going 2 come frm Isaiah 4:1 wch reads "And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying, We will eat our own bread, and wear our own apparel: only let us be called by thy name, to take away our reproach." Judgment was abt to com upon jerusalem n the merciful God warned the pipo thru prophet Isaiah. In this judgment, men wer 2 b slain leaving ophans n widows. Bcz ther was 2 b a very few number of men , a large number of women lik 7 ws expectd 2 b flocking 2 one man wat a disaster. This ws 2 b don on the condition that the women wud do anything they wntd bt they jst wntd 2 b called by the NAME of their husbnd. This is the state of churches n their members today. They jst wnt 2 b called by the name of christ bt they dnt want christ 2 take ful control of their lives. Pipo wnt 2 b called christians bt they dnt wnt 2 take Jesus as their personal savior n Lord. They say; 1. We will eat our own bread. If I say this it means that I am teling Jesus that I am able 2 sustain my self. Jesus said " I am the bread of life n whoever wil eat of me wil be satisfied." The problm why we ar neva satisfied in our christian lives we eat of our own bread. We wil eat our own bread also means that we wil rejoice in fornication, drunkeness , injustices, lying, theft, unfaithfulness to God n to fellow individuals and all sorts of evil n earthly pleasures. Ther ar only two forces in this world; good and evil. Its either u ar a partaker of your own bread which is evil or u partake of the bread of Jesus who is the bread of life. 2. We will wear our own apparel or clothes. This means that we wil dress and behave lik any other individual n in the way we want. Lets choose 2 put on the righteousnes of Jesus Christ. We dress the way we dress to seduce others bcoz we have rejectd the clothes of Jesus which is righteousnes and we hav taken up our own clothes /fashions frm the devil. My dear friend, if Jesus ws to visit u today, hw wud u appear b4 His presence? Wud u put on that mini-skirt or sag ur trouser? Wat kind of music wud u play b4 Him?. The problem is that We jst wnt to be call by the name of Jesus Christ as christians while we take on the works of darkness n that of the devil. It sounds shameful to be called a satanist, so christians of the present time want 2 do the works of the devil but wnt 2 b called by Christ so that their shame is coverd. The msg 2 u my dear friend is that the battle btn good n evil or Jesus n the devil is tough and ther is no neutral ground. The4 lets fear God n gv glory to Him 4 the hour of His judgement has come (revelation 14:6-8). Jesus rebuked such kind of pipo who deny the works of righteousnes n teach other doctrines thereby wnting 2 be called by His name in (mark 7:9) as He said "in vain they do worship me." (read also luke 16:13, 15) Its either u ar a true christian or a satanist. NO NEUTRAL GROUND. To be called by the name of Jesus is nt enough.
