JUST A THOUGHT: The year was 1912 when George Bennard pinned the lyrics to The Old Rugged Cross and what a beautiful song it is. For a true believer in Christ, the cross is everything!! Everything!! What Christ did for us that day should never be cast off, laid aside, watered down, or forgotten! Its the center of our freedom from sin and death! I was invited to visit a church one day but i found there was an element missing! A church without a cross is sad to say the least, but a life without the cross is death! You see, without the cross there is no forgiveness of sin! Without the blood of Jesus, we would still be lost and condemned to hell! But Christ! The spotless Lamb of God, laid down his life and took my sin, bore my shame, was crucified, buried, and rose again so that i could go free!!! He did this for you and for me THANK YOU JESUS ...... I will cling to the old rugged cross and exchange it someday for a crown!! Thank you for listening! I love you all!!
