FINAL JOURNEY Final Journey is comprised of Roger Crews - tenor, Danny Mayhugh - bass, David Null - lead and Brien Moore - sound man. These men make up the current 2013 members of the Southern Gospel group based out of Anna, Il and known throughout the Southern Illinois region as Final Journey. The group currently has two CD projects available. The 2012 CD is entitled "Songs For The Journey". The latest Final Journey CD is entitled "Reflections of His Grace" and is their 2013 release. In November 2010 Danny, Roger and Brien got together and Final Journey was birthed as a male Southern Gospel quartet. In mid 2012 baritone singer Dennis Baker felt the calling to take a position with a church in Oklahoma City,Oklahoma. Final Journey then began their search for a replacemnt baritone singer but at the time of the writing of this baritone they are still ongoing in their search. Everything needed for a classic quartet is in place and these guys love to sing. Roger Crews -Tenor Roger makes his home in Anna, Illinois. This experienced singer possesses a natural clear, pure and powerful tenor voice. Roger has been with the group since it’s beginning in November 2010. Roger began singing Southern Gospel in 1989 with a southern Illinois local group known as The Heartland Boys. The Heartland Boys were well known in the quad state region but disbanded in 1993. Later in 1993 the group reorganized under the new name of Chosen Heart. Chosen Heart continued traveling and singing until they disbanded once again in 1993. Once again in 2000 Roger felt the calling in his life to return to the stage singing Gospel music. The year 2000 would find him in the position of tenor singer for Doc Horsley’s quartet known throughout Southern Illinois as Fortress. Roger would remain with Fortress until his departure from the group in later 2005. Danny Mayhugh - Bass Danny makes his home in Carterville, Illinois. Danny has a long history singing Southern Gospel music. Singing bass for the southern Illinois quartet Chosen Heart from 1993 to 1997. Danny’s deep and clear voice adds just the right touch to give Final Journey that southern style Gospel quartet harmony. David Null - Lead David makes his home in Marion, Illinois and has been with the group since it began in November 2010. Drawing from his many years of Southern Gospel singing throughout the southern Illinois area his lead singing adds a smooth harmony and mixes excellently with the other vocals. David began singing Southern Gospel in 1985 with a local quartet known as Horizon. In 1987 Horizon won first place in the talent competition at the Illinois State Quartet Convention. Then in 1988 Horizon entered the talent showcase at the NQC National Quartet Convention in Nashville Tn. and out of 51 competing groups nationwide Horizon came in fifth place. In 2001 he began singing with Doc Horsley’s quartet called Fortress as the lead singer until his departure in 2005. Brien Moore - Sound Man Brien makes is home in Anna, Illinois. His exceptional knowledge and love of sound equipment make our concerts flow with smooth sound. Brien is also a drummer and played drums in the early stages of Final Journey when the group had a live band. Brien also has a long history of being involved in Gospel music. He was with Roger Crews in the early days of The Heartland Boys and Chosen Heart. Discography: 2012 -"Songs For The Journey" 2013 - "Reflections of His Grace"
