JUST IN! Check out Lee!! Getting fit and healthier in her retirement. Lovely! This is her story... I retired in April of 2013 from a sedentary job of 27 years. I had great plans for retirement of getting fitter, healthier and all that GOOD stuff that I blamed my job on NOT letting me do. Well, that didn’t happen…seems it wasn’t the job after all! Lol!! It was me! I had no self-discipline at all when it came to eating and exercising. A year went by and instead of getting fitter I was getting fatter!! The final straw was when we found out we were going to be GRANDPARENTS! We were sooooo excited! Then I started thinking….wow, it takes a lot of effort for me to get on the floor and play at this point. If I don’t DO something all I’ll be able to do is ROLL on the floor!! So, I started looking for a solution. I knew from previous attempts at losing weight that this was not going to be a DIET but a LIFESTYLE that I had to incorporate. Of course, with that mindset I immediately notice LTL – Live the Lifestyle. I saw a couple of people I knew who were on the program. I checked with them to see if this was for real. They assured me it was. They were honest and said it wasnt easy but so worth it. With the support of my husband, I jumped in with both feet. I was determined! As the weeks went by and I saw the inches and pounds dropping off I was thrilled!!! I DO feel better and even have the energy to exercise some now. Still not my favorite thing but I know it helps. I am within 10 lbs. of my goal and I NEVER thought I would see this weight again!! I have just changed the way I look at food. I now think about what and when I eat to optimize the way God MADE my body to work. In just 12 weeks I have lost 28.4 pounds, 16.5 inches and 6.9% body fat!! Also as an added benefit of this lifestyle change my numbers have changed since March 2013. My total cholesterol has dropped 18 units, glucose dropped 19 units, triglycerides dropped 52 units, and LDL dropped 7 units. Numbers don’t lie!!!
