JUST MY OPINION.... I love baseball..Its my favorite sport to play and sometimes watch.. Like everything around us, things change. But this is my opinion.. Baseball players are no longer heros.. Too much credit is given to baseball players , actors , politicians, Sports figures in general.. They are not part of our communities, and yes , you can probably name a few that are different and hooray for you.. But reality is that these people are mostly un-educated Millionaires who are not in touch with the fans unless they are being paid to do so.. Back in the day when they recieved the pay they actually deserved, they also worked OFF-Season jobs.. Imagine that.. These people seperate themselves from fans and fans buy into their behavior.. Thats why they have stalkers and Fan freaks..If they were accessable to the youthful fan and tangible members of society, they wouldnt have to act like superior beings.. Their Opinions are not better then yours because they are talented actors or sports figures, yet a good majority of people believe their opinions mean more.. Seriously...Arnold Schwarzenegger-Governor... LOL.. Its sad that it continues ..Autographs worths thousands ?? Too funny.. A Mechanic busts his ass and the Union tries to keep his Job because they are downsizing because the company owner just payed Alex Rodriguez 250 mil.. (Just example) It wont end , sad to say.. The baseball fan will rarely spend time with ball player.. One of the saddest things I hear is.. Oh wow..This actor or actress is really cool, they talked to me like a real person..Oh really..Guess what..You are.. These people arent bad, dont get me wrong..Its a product of the society we make..
