JUST MY OPINION: Im lucky enough to live within half a mile of my favourite pie n mash shop, that being Manzes in Tower Bridge Road. Luckily for me (and them) they dont use ice cream scoops for their mash. :D But if my local pie n mash place DID use scoops Id have to mess those bumpy things up before I could enjoy my meal. Scoops are for ice cream, for portion control and for school dinners. A good scrape of mash on the side of the plate is the proper way to serve it in an authentic shop. There is no place in a pie n mash shop for scoops or knives either for that matter... Forkn Spoon is all you need to eat with... Agree or disagree? :)
