JUST MY TWO CENTS! America will never change its stripes. Americas first African American President cant catch a cold with Congress. The very policies theyd support under ANY previous President has made the choice to make the American people suffer because they elected a Black Man POTUS. Double standard I tell you. Double standard is not relegated to politics. Take professional sports for example. Recently, the Philadelphia Eagles released Desean Jackson; one of the best wide receivers in the NFL because according to Eagle officials he is gang affiliated and is a distraction to the team. Interesting. The Eagles have a player on the team, wide receiver, Riley Cooper who went on a drunken, racial tirade the made Mel Gibson say damn and yet, hes being groomed as one of the leaders on the team. Wasnt his insensitive actions a distraction to the African American players on the Eagles? How did the Eagle brass handle it? Riley Cooper went on an apology tour and the incident went away - quickly. Double standard I tell you. For the record, Im not a D. Jackson fan. He is the epitome of what I dislike about football and all professional sports; a talented, prima-donna who can be a distraction to a team. However, Desean Jackson is getting a cup of double standard that is as American as Apple pie and its wrong. Dont worry about Desean Jackson. Hell sign with another team and many will forget about what has occurred and unfortunately, the double standard beat goes on.
