Information below- I was hoping to get this sooner but I was waiting on a few things before I sent this. First thank you for all of those that attended the Football meeting on Wednesday, parent/community/player participation is better than ever and I’m confident that we will see the results on the field. Less than two weeks from now we will have our first game and well that’s when things get real! Below is a recap of the parents meeting, I must admit, I don’t do well in heat and got a little flustered. I’m going to try and cover it all here, if I’m missing something please do not hesitate to let me know. • Practice will continue as normal as well as two-a-days for all of next week and then there is a Gold and Black game on Saturday the 16th at 10:00AM on the practice field. • FOOTBALL SCHEDULES ARE OUT!!! It’s this Tuesday from 6:00-7:00 at TVHS in room 212. • REMINDER-All participation packets, money and physicals are due on MONDAY by 3:00PM, if it’s not there on Monday your player will not play and that will put them as risk for missing the first game. He graciously came on Wednesday and offered physicals in the gym and DONATED ALL of his profits to TVHS Football which totaled over $200. He mentioned that there were a few kids that did not have money at the time and he still performed the physical, if your player is one of them that owes $20 please be sure to drop it off at The Joint, give the money to Coach or bring it to Booster. • Need some TVHS FOOTBALL SWAG to show your Eagle Pride? Who do you know or work for that would be interested in gaining great exposure while supporting an incredible team? There are three different levels of Sponsorships and I’m happy to place any calls on your behalf! I have been targeting getting people that I do business with to sponsor, car dealerships, restaurants, salons, insurance companies, car maintenance, realtors…etc, if they cannot sponsor ask if they are willing to donate something or if they know of a business that would be interested in sponsoring . Attached is the sponsor sheet, please feel free to ask any questions. • CONCESSIONS: This is a HUGE fundraiser for the Football Team; we are still in need of help for ALL FIVE HOME GAMES! Ideally the Varsity parents want to want their son play, we ask the underclassmen parents/family to help with concessions by signing up to work at least a half a game. (that’s it) I ask the Varsity parents to help with prep, half time and end of game clean up. The more help we can get the easier it is for all of us AND we don’t have to outsource help to Cheer or Band so we can keep all the profits. To sign up please go to- https://volunteersignup.org/ARY4R THANK YOU!!! • SPAGHETTI DINNERS: Coach has asked us parents to prepare a spaghetti dinner for ALL FIVE HOME GAMES for about 45-50 Varsity Players and 10 coaches’ right after school at 3:30PM. He does this so that the players stay focused and stay together as a team until the start of the game. We are asking the VARSITY PARENTS/FAMILY to step in and help here as we are feeding the Varsity team. It’s a lot of food to prepare so we try to divide the tasks so it’s easier and well this is not fun to do yourself. Here is the link to sign up- https://volunteersignup.org/BMFAK . When figuring out the amount to serve, I took the serving size to cover players and coaches and then I added one more serving to be on the safe side. Booster provides plates, napkins, forks and parmesan cheese. Everything will need to be at the cafeteria by 3:20 and needs to be served warm...don’t forget serving spoons and such. We are not able to use the cafeteria at all to assist in the spaghetti dinner. The week before the team dinner we will send you an email with all of those that signed up so you can coordinate. The kids and coaches were so grateful last year! • KING SOOPERS CARDS: This has been a great success and we are starting to see the teams profits with all of our shopping…if we continue on this path we hope to have to do less fundraising next year. If you need a card or another card let us know (don’t forget family and friends), the initial cost is $5 dollars but there is already $5 dollars loaded on the card so really there is no cost. Attached are the instructions on how to use it and such. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help. • Make sure your players Hudl account/profile is up to date & ready to go, this will be crucial for coach for when he wants the players to review film.
