STO is mandated to fulfil the statutory tourist information, destination marketing and tourism economic development functions of the Swellendam Municipality. Background Swellendam Tourism Organisation is implementing a R51m Jobs Fund project to create 837 jobs, 1,500 work placement & training opportunities and 38 new SMMEs over the next 3 years through growth of the local tourism economy. This multi-dimensional project represents a partnership of local, provincial and national government with the private sector, NPOs and CBOs. Reporting to (and deputising for) the Executive Project Director, the incumbent will be responsible to oversee and direct the Skills & Training, Enterprise Development and Monitoring & Evaluation work-streams of the project.
