JUST TO MENTION SOME FACTS ABOUT THE RESPONSE IN THE USA TO WHAT IS HAPPENING IN EGYPT. A) The congress of the USA has laws to stop any aid to any foreign country if it goes through a MILITARY COUP to oust a democratically elected government. This is to correspond with their call for the democracy and freedom for all mankind. B) The pentagon will find it difficult to override the congress and give the $1.5 Billion of military aids to Egypt, if it has been proven that it was a MILITARY COUP. C) 80 Percent of the Egyptian army equipment and training are American. Just ask any responsible officer in the army and he will confirm what I just said. Egypt just received 8 F16 fighter jets and 7 more on the way. This is in addition to tanks, helicopters, personal carrier armory, ....etc. D) $80 billions more are given to civil causes like education, developments, technology, research...etc. Some may argue that this IS NOT A MILITARY COUP, rather it is a response to the demands of the majority of Egyptians. This is fine and may be acceptable, however, WHEN YOU FOLLOW THIS WITH THE ARREST AND THE DETAINING OF THE DEMOCRATICALLY ELECTED PRESIDENT AND HIS FOLLOWERS, then It become a MILITARY COUP. So, for those who are calling for the no need for this American aid, just consult, with the military leaders and see if they will agree with you. It is not the money, which we can get from our relatives in the gulf states, but where are we going to get the parts and ammunitions for our American military equipment if the US government blocked and refuse to give them to us, like in the case of Iran, Sudan, North Korea,..etc. Also, during this time our leaders must do their best not to alienate the US government or the congress. There are a lot in stake not only for our military, but also in the cooperation in scientific research, education, health, civil management, technology in general, businesses ...etc. THE ISRAELI LOBBY WILL LOVE NOTHING MORE THAN TO SEE THE US CONGRESS CUTTING OFF THE MILITARY AIDS TO EGYPT. I thought I make this clear to those who do not know. Good day.
