JUST a Quick story: Yesterday the internet went down...uggh! I had a deadline, a pertinent phone call to make, a speech to practice and a bill to pay! No breakfast yet or coffee with cream to delight in! It was ah heck of a morning to say the least. I unplugged the modem to address the absent wireless connection. As I rapidly reached for the plug without my glasses on, my left cornea and limbus met with the likes of a pruned, hardened stick - like lower branch of a Palm Plant. STRESSful! ALL the other priorities of the day became a greater and obtuse challenge. Thanks to my friend and fellow Toastmaster, Charlene Hancock. I was able to give a one eye patched version of a speech about Laughter at Brock Toastmasters. Off to the Emergency at our new Hospital in St. Catharines General Hospital Foundation to discover in deed, it was injured. A chunk out and inflammation developing. Luckily not deep enough to leak out the life sustaining fluid. It takes anywhere from 24 to 48 hours for an eyeball to repair itself in most cases. It is painful, it is stressful and I am not enjoying the healing process because the 48 hours down puts a greater pile on ones desk.... Reading is substantially more difficult when you must rest both eyes. Therefore, I will read this article much later myself but in the meantime, listening to ocean waves and waterfalls with peaceful piano music, zen-fulness, is on the menu! Enjoy a STRESS FREE DAY and watch-out for the plants!!! LOL hhealthpositiveinfo/31-stress-relief-tips.html
