JUSTICE FOR EJIGBO 3:Welfare of the victims; After my post yesterday complaining about the deafening silence of Lagos state government and Governor Fashola not only over a matter of such magnitude but also not care about the welfare of the surviving victims, i received a call from one man claiming to be a staff of one of the Lagos state agency in charge of taken care of such victims welfare and that he will like to know how to get in touch with the victims and their family so as to take over the wards welfare and treatment of the older victim. I charged him that its laughable that the state government waited for my post to intervene and that its preposterous for him and his principal to be asking me an individual and an activist the whereabout of the tortured ,he mumbled some defense but i wasnt convinced but i promised to get intouch with the only individual i know has being incharge of their welfare since the incident became public knowledge in person of Dr.Joe Okei Odumakin, president women arise. I got intouch with her via text message to her phone and i was still expecting her response when one of my friend in the struggle Benjamin Ameachi called me to informed me about the claim by one director in the ministry of women development who happen to be the boss of the man that called me earlier that the state government has being involved in their welfare from the beginning but he said he countered her with some questions which she failed to respond to and she later buckle in admitting their failure. Not long after Dr. Joe called me and intimating on how the governor directed the Office of public defender to get intouch with her that same yesterday to see how they can take over their habitation, security and feeding pending the conclusion of the case and that they will be use as prosecution witness against those to be arraign. Ladies and gentlemen, i think you can see how insensitive our leaders are and how they want to use lies to safe face. It took my post and that of others for Lagos state governor and his agency to come in because the victims are palmwine tappers , i have often defend Fashola that he is not running government of the rich but this actions of his shows clearly where his government is tilted. My advice to mrs fadipe, director in women development ministry is to look elsewhere to feather their achievement not this case.
