Jack Andraka was 15 when his uncle died of cancer, & he set out to search for a way to detect the disease sooner. He sent letters to 200 scientists asking if they would help him test a new technique he had conceived of. 199 said no. But one said yes. Jacks technique worked, & at 15 he invented a detection test that is far earlier, far more accurate, & far cheaper than anything on the market. Moral of the story: dont be afraid of rejection, dont take no for an answer, & know that you can change the world! PS - Ive met Jack Andraka.
