Jack Kirby - Jack Kirbys Heroes and Villains. is a sketch-book Kirby gave to his wife, Ros, as a Valentines Day gift in the 1970s, featuring full-page pencil drawings of many of the great characters Kirby had created over the years: Captain America, the Fantastic Four, the New Gods, the Silver Surfer, the Black Panther, Thor and loads more, 129 in all. In the 1980s, Kirby gave permission for Pure Imagination to publish this sketchbook as a hard-cover volume containing good copies of all the original pencil drawings. This was produced as a limited edition of 1000 numbered copies, some of which were signed by Kirby. It came out in 1987 and is an amazing treasury of brilliant Kirby art in its purest form. Simply awesome. Here are some of the sketches. I still have mine and will never part with it.
