Jack Wilshere is hoping he will be able to learn from playing alongside Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard for England. Arsenal midfielder Wilshere is widely regarded as one of England’s brightest prospects as Gerrard and Lampard approach the final stages of their international careers. And Wilshere is hoping to learn as much as he can from the pair as England gear up for their crunch World Cup qualifiers against Montenegro and Poland. “We know that Montenegro are not going to come at us – they’re going to sit back and we’re going to have to take the game to them,” said Wilshere. “We’re at home and that’s what we want to do anyway. “We’ve got players like Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard and Wayne Rooney who have been there at big tournaments, big qualifiers. Sometimes they’ve experienced bad results but they’ll have learned from them and it will help us in the future. “As a young footballer I grew up watching those two [Gerrard and Lampard]. You can learn different things from both of them. “The way Gerrard passes the ball, his range of passing and the way he puts his foot in and the way Lampard gets forward – his goal-scoring speaks for itself, so hopefully I can learn from them.”
