Jackass actor Bam Margera spends night in cell for abusing Glasgow hotel staff after Eminem gig Published on 22 August 2013 The American star of a reality TV show spent the night in custody after verbally abusing a member of staff at a Glasgow hotel following Eminems gig in the city. Bam Margera, who appears in Jackass where a group of friends carry out outlandish pranks on each other, hurled a tirade of abuse at female receptionist at Jurys Inn when he was told it was full on Tuesday night. It came after he had seen the American rap star perform at Bellahouston Park. Margera was among 34 held after the event, which was watched by 30,000 people. Margera was fined £500 at Glasgow Sheriff Court which he must pay within two weeks. He offered to pay immediately. The court heard how Margera went to the hotel around 10pm on Tuesday and claimed he had a room booked, but the receptionist could not find a reservation under the details he gave. Margera then said: I dont know if it is booked under Eminem or Marshall Mathers, and swore at her as he demanded a room. He shouted that he would sleep on the floor until a room was found. Margera then lay on the floor blocking the path of other guests and proclaimed that she should call the police as he wanted to be arrested. The US star then brought out a bottle of whisky and began drinking. Police then arrived to detain Margera. He told officers: This was intentional. I wanted you guys to arrest me. I am filming Jackass 4 and you are now part of it. Iain Fleming, defending, told the court Margera had missed an engagement in Paris due to his arrest. A smiling Margera, whose friend the rapper Yelawolf was playing at the gig, said: Ive just had the pleasure of visiting Glasgow county jail. I feel like I have been in there five days - its not even 24 hours. He later celebrated his freedom at a local bar. It was a very interesting night. I had a blast of playing in front of 50,000 people and then I had the pleasure to sit in a cell. I was eventually in solitary confinement where there is nothing but a room -before that at least I had a seat.
