Jackson Happy family day. It has been eleven exciting, wonderful years since you became our Son . We have watched you grow from little baby, to an adventurous little boy, to a charismatic, humorous and energetic young man. It has been a joy to watch you grow, and learn, and discover who you really are and we love you more than ever. When you were first placed into my arms, we were so overwhelmed with love and I started to cry yes I said cried (See the picture). Ten days later I remember how fast we drove to get you and how slow I drove coming home with. Your mother thought something was wrong with the truck LOL. I was happy and scared at the same time. Although your mom was prepared and knew what was going on I was unsure and frightened deep down. Being the baby of my family I never had to change diapers or take of a baby. Mom and I took care of you the whole weekend together. We had many friends come by and greet you so we were really busy, but then Monday morning came along. Mom had to go to work and I was to be left caring for you by myself. LOL we made together didn’t we? I think we surprised everyone including your Auntie Monkey. Well eleven years later I give you a new dirt bike and we are still amazing everyone around us huh? As for your grandparents they were all totally in love with you. You make Grandma Patsy laugh every time you tell a joke like your dad or how caring and loveable you are like your mother. You Grandma Dee see how much you look like me at this age and see misses you lots and wishes she could come to Chicago more often. Now, Grandpa Jerry he is you protector and does not want anyone to harm you. I only wish you could have met my dad he would have loved to watch you play football he would be so excited to see play most likely you think he was embarrassing you with all his cheering, but it would be his love showing he cares. When you tell me you are going to buy my an Toyota Prius when I get old or you are going to take me to the Harley Davidson Museum with your kids it make me proud to your dad. BTW I know your yanking my chain about the Prius you’re a gear head you would never do that I know that you love your mother by the way you lay with her and talk together. She is your comfort zone and I know you will take care of her when I travel for work. We love you forever, no matter what. We are so very proud of you. Most everyone knows you as funny, silly, and cute. But mon and I have seen your vulnerable, hurt and unhappy side. You are so very beautiful, inside and out. It has been an amazing eleven years so far. I cannot wait to see what happens in the next seven years! Happy Family Day, Mijo.
