Jacob update We went to RVI last Wednesday for a camera to be put into Jacobs lungs to find out why his lung is partially deflated. The consultant said she thought that the tube going into his lung was being flattened by something on the outside. He then went for a CT scan which showed a lot of large lymph nodes, he then was transferred to the Freeman to have a biopsy done to see if they were tumours which involved them deflating his lung and going in through the ribs to get a sample. We found out on Wednesday that it wasnt a tumour and they thought it may be TB on having a tube inserted into his nose and down into his tummy for 3 days of tests they are almost sure it isnt. Many blood tests later and having now had an MRI scan they are confident that it is a rare and unusual cyst. They have called him a very interesting case I on the other hand have found it the most frightening experience of my life which sadly is not over yet as now needs surgery probably week after next (just in time for his birthday) to remove it. But he came home last night and all being well will stay at home until his surgery. X
