Jai Hind. I take the liberty to introduce ourselves ‘NATIONAL COUNCIL OF SOCIAL WELFARE’ (NCSW) as a registered ‘Non Governmental Organisation. NCSW is a non-political, non-communal organization working in 42 villages of Sheohar and Sitamarhi districts of Bihar. Our focus is to develop the communities through children, youth and women. We run 158 projects under our various missions in areas of education, healthcare, youth employability and empowerment of women and girls. Our programmes fall under: • Training, Workshops/Seminars • Consultancy • Service delivery- institutional & non-institutional • Assistance to other organizations • Technical and financial or either and advocacy community contact mobilization/ campaigns Our aim is to get these communities, which do not even have electricity for an hour in their villages get a chance to build a better life for themselves and the whole village. With this in mind we are running in the ‘Airtel Delhi Half Marathon 2014’ Public support is and will always be a great encouragement to us. The impact of our various activities is highlighted in our Annual Reports each year and can be viewed online at our website ncsw.in . This year will be our first year of participation in the ‘Airtel Delhi Half Marathon’, 7th edition of world’s most prestigious 21 Kilometer races! There will be a bunch of world class East-African athletes in the front running for prize money! 35,000 runners (and walkers) will be joining in. We are setting an ambitious fundraising target of Rs 20 Lakh. This amount will help us provide Solar lighting lanterns (@ Rs 1300/lantern) to around 1500 school going children in non-electrified corners of the country, where those small kids burn kerosene candles for whatever dim light to study, added with dangerous carbon monoxide often fatal even to inhale. And if we could raise more that would be wonderful. We invite you to join us in building these villages and communities. Donate and Run with us on 23rd November, 2014. Our request is to give us an appointment in the next few days, to discuss the impact you want and can bring to the many less fortunate we work with. You may also visit icfn.in/adhm/National-Council-of-Social-Welfare/. We are sure with your contribution and advice we will reach our target of Raising Rs 20 Lakh through the Airtel Delhi Half Marathon 2014. Do join us!
