Jake of the Week! This week’s Jake of the week goes to rookie FDNY Firefighter Justin Tallett, after his heroic rescue of 4-year-old Trevele Belton from a Brooklyn house fire earlier this week! Tallett, a former Army Medic, joined the FDNY after returning from Afghanistan. He had only been a firefighter with the FDNY for 2 months when he fought through a well involved apartment building to rescue 4-year-old Trevele, who was hidden under a blanket in a rear bedroom of the home. Tallett credits his academy training and his instincts for making the lucky save! Tallett and his fellow FDNY Brothers also saved Trevele’s 5 and 8-year-old brothers from a upstairs window of the burning building. Amazingly brave and heroic job done by all!
