Jamaat-e-Islami Hind strongly condemns the terror attack at a caravan of Congress party in Bastar district of Chhattisgarh, terming it an inhuman and undemocratic act. Expressing sorrow at the deaths caused by the attack, Jamaat demands the government to initiate such positive and constructive steps that could help in eliminating such unwanted and undesirable incidents. Jamaat also demands the government to order a high-level probe into the Chhattisgarh attack so that the real culprits could be exposed and brought to book. Jamaat expresses surprise at the fact that even in 65 years of Independence, central and state governments could not create an atmosphere of justice and equality, nor could train the citizenry not to resort to violence to address their grievances. Jamaat-e-Islami Hind wants to draw the attention of the government to honestly analyze its schemes and plans for tribal areas and to ensure the local inhabitants their justified rights. The government should create an atmosphere there that tribal population seeks resolution of their problems through peaceful and constructive means. Jamaat also wants to tell the tribal people that violence and destruction cannot resolve their problems, rather will complicate them. The tribal people, therefore, must keep from illegal and unpleasant ways and always use peaceful, legal and constitutional means for every struggle.
