Jameis Winston - Soon To Be Famous or Infamous? This is a very interesting situation. Jameis Winston has to be the leading candidate for the Heisman Trophy, because of his stats (second highest passer rating behind Bryce Petty of #4 Baylor) and the Seminoles #2 ranking. The alleged rape case has all the nuances of a hollywood script with a massive cover up by the Tallahassee Police Department being purported. (What is it with Florida police departments???) Thoughts? If Alabama can win out over Auburn and Mizzou then we would surely see the best two teams in college football playing for the BCS Championship. I really would like to see that happen. Supposedly, the DNA tests tie Winston to the complainant. Would the justice system stall the charging process and potential arrest until after the BCS Championship game? If its true that Winstons DNA has been tied to the alleged victim then why hasnt he already been charged? I hope that no one wants the alleged victim to suffer any more than she has already. I dont think anything can stop Florida State from being in that BCS Championship game now. However, if Jameis Winston is guilty of rape, I hope he doesnt get to play in that game.
