James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. I dont think a lot of Christians truly understand this. EVERY good gift comes from the Father. EVERY SINGLE ONE. Think about that. We know that no one is good. That is, in man, dwells nothing good. Even our good works are like filthy rags. The thoughts and imaginations of our hearts are only evil continually. We are born in sin. Dead in trespasses and sins. So EVERY SINGLE GOOD that comes out of us is from Him. The faith we have is a good thing. So where did it come from? HIM! The good deeds in Christ that we do, where do they come from? HIM! Working in us because we are HIS workmanship. Obedience. From whence does it come? HIM! Sanctification, purification, victory over sin...it all comes from Him! WE GET NONE of the credit. IT IS NONE of us. And this is the proper state of things. Man humbled, God exalted. So when we struggle, no matter what area it is in, our prayer needs to be for more of Him. If we are to have victory, it will be HIM that does it in us. He is the worker and giver of all good things. What we need, is more of His touch in our lives. https://youtube/watch?v=-tUYASKF_3Q
