James 1:22-27 is where Bro Les delivered his punching message from yesterday. Praising the greatest Love of my life for being so very good to me. Im looking in my mirror and trying to see if the reflection I see is the reflection of Christ. Not physically, but spiritually. How do others see me has always been a nagging sensation that I couldnt shake. This morning, after going over my notes from service, I realize that my mirror has cracks in it, needs to be cleaned, doesnt have enough light shining thru it and my reflection may be a little retarded. But God, has given me another opportunity to get my reflection in my mirror polished up to be not just a hearer, but a doer of the Word. Practicing pure and undefined religion is better than practicing a vain religion, where you go to a building, go through the rituals, leave there and wait for the next chance to repeat the same thing. Your neighbors dont see, your coworkers dont hear, your family arent convinced that you are a child if God. No matter what my location or situation, Ive always tried to live and do what God wanted me to do. Now sometimes Id miss the mark but my thoughts of Him kept me anchored. Ive endured a lot over the years, just as others have also, but never doubted Gods power. Living in the South, and adjusting to its culture has affected my mirror. But, Im shining it up today and headed for that Gloryland way by doing what He says and letting nothing crack my mirror.
