James 1:3 Because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. .......Scripture compares the Christian life to a race, and endurance is the key to winning any race. Our trials strengthen our stamina needed for everyday life. James is talking about the inner strength that allows us to face any trials without quitting. A runner needs such strength to run a race, so even if the training hurts, he conditions his body to be able to reach the finish line. For believers, the process is similar, except our training comes through trials. As we face different challenges in the power of the Spirit, God builds us up more and more. Maybe you are facing a hardship? God wants you to trust Him and then ask yourself, Am I willing to go through this intense workout today in order to win the race tomorrow? Nobody wakes up on the morning of a marathon race and says, I think I will go run that race today! It required training, and a lot of it. The testing of your faith requires faith in your Savior, Jesus. When your knees are knocking....thats the time to get on them. Thank you for coming by today. Wont you give God one hour of your time at a church this weekend? For all He has done for you, isnt it time you return just a small fraction back to honor Him? Blessings on your Saturday my friends~♥
