James 2:17 - In the same way, faith by itself, if it does not prove itself with actions, is dead There are a few things in life as encouraging as an enthusiastic Christian whose faith is practical & alive. When the winds of unbelief start raging around them, when darkness envelopes their soul, they remain steadfast, clinging to the essence of their faith. The Christian who relies on the emotional boost they receive from a loaded church service & who cannot survive on their own inner strength, lacks the firm foundation that is required to remain standing in stormy weather. Enthusiasm without a true LIVING FAITH is insufficient. Nevertheless, positive, PRACTICAL FAITH supplies real enthusiasm, enabling the believer to reflect their faith with JOY. Faith, not emotions, determines the quality of your Christian life. Faith in the LIVING CHRIST always brings about new life & growth, a constructive & consistent goal in life, & love for GOD that makes OBEDIENCE to HIM a joy & a privilege. Living faith fills every void that may exist in your life with the wonderful assurance that your HEAVENLY FATHER desires to be totally & completely united with us. Through Christ He revealed how this unity is possible. Emotion is always secondary to your faith in JESUS CHRIST OUR REDEEMER. Once you have accepted HIM as your SAVIOUR, your emotions will also fall into place. Beautiful Creator, please bring balance into our lives between faith & emotions so that our enthusiasm can develop into a more Real PRACTICAL FAITH. We thank you for giving us what we need & NOT what we want. We thank you for blessing us each & everyday. We thank you for giving us peace in those uncertain times in our lives. We declare today that YOU ARE OUR GOD. We thank you for giving us YOUR SON JESUS CHRIST. In JESUSS NAME. Amen.
