James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. So many times people quote the latter part of this verse, and expect God to move on their behalf. But notice the beginning part of the verse. As a Christian we have to submit ourselves unto The Lord! In other words we have to come under subjection and yield ourselves to the Holy Spirit of God. We do this by obeying his word and listening unto his voice, John 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: Mark 4:9 And he said unto them, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear. Once we learn to submit and listen, then we can take the authority that God has given us to resist the devil and all the tactics & temptation he comes at us with and he will have to flee. We need to use the Scripture as the sword of the Spirit to repel the devil. I charge you today to submit to God and the devil will flee. Be Blessed and share Jesus with someone today.
