James Chew - thanks for the nomination for the ALS/ Motor Neurone Disease Ice Bucket Challenge. Having seen so many people do these ice bucket challenges, I thought it was worthwhile taking this opportunity to get back to the core of what these challenges are all about - creating awareness for MND. As a firm advocate of spreading the word about this terrible disease, I think this video (please watch the whole way through) is a great indicator of what it is, and could say more than any ice bucket challenge I could ever do. When my father was diagnosed back in 1994, neither I nor my family knew what MND was and there was very little information available on it. Thankfully, education about this disease has improved in more recent times, albeit too late for him - but maybe future generations will benefit. Initiatives like this can only help in building knowledge, raising more funds and ultimately leading to a treatment and cure. Thank you to everyone who has shared and donated.
