James Forecast for Monday, September 15th The moon travels through four phases. A New Moon phase occurs when the Sun and Moon are in the same sign and same degree. In essence, they are sitting on top of one another. Whereas during a Full Moon phase, the Sun and Moon are directly opposite each other. In between these two lunation periods, there are Quarter Moons phases: a Quarter Moon between the New and Full Moons and a second one between the Full and following New Moon phases. Without going into too much detail, the Quarter Moons occur when the Sun and Moon are at right angles to each other. The reason I am detailing this for you is that, in addition to educating you on the different moon phases, today marks the day of the Quarter Moon that appears between last weeks Full Moon on the 8th and the next New Moon on the 24th. During Quarter Moon periods, we are at halfway points between waxing and waning Moon. The Quarter Moons represent obstacles or forced changes in the lunar cycle. Today is a day when we are likely to deal with uncooperative or critical people, things not working out and/or an overall feeling of anger or sadness.
