James Franco-Books James Franco has found a niche in the directing world with doing films taken from classic literature. And its more than just being a copycat. Franco says while some directors like to create their own materials or use real events, he likes adapting books. He says whenever he works from something in print, he finds it pushes him as a director to rise to their level. His latest film is The Sound and the Fury, adapted from the William Faulkner novel. In the past, he has done Faulkners As I Lay Dying, and Cormac McCarthys Child of God. The Sound and the Fury opens in select theaters tomorrow.
