James Hillman saw the soul as a perspective and NOT a thing. My - TopicsExpress

James Hillman saw the soul as a perspective and NOT a thing. My interpretation of this is that we, coming into life as incarnate beings, stand at the edge of Dante’s metaphorical abyss. Our physical embodiment is our deep dive into the abyss, and our life is the climb through purgatory walking with everyone else to the summit, at which point we are somewhere along the way reconnected to the divine feminine (anima mundi) and we ascend in joy after our illusions are dispelled... No ones finished until everyone is finished~ When we recognize that our woundings connect us to *soul* embedded in this deeper embodied stuff (incarnate existence) we realize that we are growing our souls to the light from the darkness of matter THROUGH our WOUNDINGS and through the subsequent healing that has to happen. Our embodied experience is the only way to get there~ Our crafty craft taking us home~
