James Robert Hall, 61, of North Kingstown, passed away Thursday, September 19, 2013. He was the beloved husband of Lynda J. (Thompson) Hall for thirty-seven years. Born in Newport, he was the son of Katherine M. (Windley) Hall of Phoenix, AZ and the late Robert J. Hall. He was a US Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam War. Jim was a correctional officer at the ACI for thirty-five years. He was a member of the FOP Lodge #45 and the Brotherhood of Correctional Officers. He enjoyed military model building and hunting. Besides his wife, he leaves a daughter, Ashley A. Hall of North Kingstown; two sisters, Katherine L. Brennan of Phoenix, AZ and Diane S. Chadwick of Fall River, MA; two nieces, Shannon Fox of Phoenix, AZ and Hilary L. Ferris of North Kingstown; and four nephews, Sean P. Brennan of Reno, NV, John S. Chadwick, III of Jamestown, Richard A. Ferris, Jr. of Tequesta, FL and Michael J. Ferris of North Kingstown. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at 6pm in the FAGAN-QUINN Funeral Home, 825 Boston Neck Road, North Kingstown. Visiting hours Tuesday 4-6pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675 will be appreciated.
