James UPDATE: From the CaringBridge site: His lungs have opened up a little bit!! And, a post from Ben Seamans, one of our FCHS students. THANK YOU, Ben, for organizing a way for all of us to donate blood in James name. My name is Ben Seamans. Im a sophomore at Faith Christian High School. Im friends with Josh and last year I played soccer with James. Like many Faith students, Ive been praying for James every day. One of our Bible classes has a service project assignment. I want to help James. I read on CaringBridge that one way to help is to donate blood. My mom has a friend who works at Bonfils Blood Center, so she made a few calls and got me started on organizing a blood drive. We cant do a typical blood drive, but Bonfils has set up a donation code so that people who want to help by giving blood can go to any Bonfils donation site, and donate in James name. It is call a Replenish Drive. My understanding is that James will have priority to receive donated blood that matches his needs and the other blood will replenish the blood bank. Bonfils already gave me the donation code, a promotion email to send to students, staff and families, and the parent authorization form for 16 and 17 yr olds who want to donate. We are ready to go. I really want to help James!!!-Ben Seamans James Marquardt Replenishment Drive To make your appointment contact Bonfils Appointment Center at 303/363-2300.
