James Wilson Anyone in town or out of town should make it up for Quincys best new event, the Groundhog Fever Festival on the courthouse lawn Saturday, Feb. 1 between 1-5 p.m.! Last years fest was a huge success and hopefully this years will be even bigger. We have a lot planned for this year, including live music, beer and wine tasting, lots of booths selling merchandise and promoting non-profits, and a chili cookoff. Other events are set to take place as well. Heres a schedule of the events planned. Court Stage 1:00 p.m. Opening Ceremony 2:00 p.m. Food Eating Contest 2:30 p.m. Mustache Contest 3:00 p.m. Groundhog announcement and ceremony 3:30 p.m. Bachelor Auction Big Stage 1:30 p.m. Junior Cheer Squad Performance 4:00 p.m. Snow Dance by Eagle Wings Pageant Dance Group 4:30 p.m. Chili Cookoff Awards Ceremony 4:40 p.m. Shadow Shuffle Awards Ceremony Throughout the day, the Groundhog All-Star band will play its funky music on the Big Stage between the series of events.
