James is 3lbs 6.8oz!! 86 days old today. 38 weeks gestation, my due date would have been the 24th...Now, nobody freak out ok? James is just fine. But this freaked his aunt out and I know how much some of you love him, so dont freak out! Lol. I talked to his charge nurse Matt this morning. He said all babies in NICU were tested for MRSA yesterday which stands for Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus. The babies were all swabbed under their arm pits and in their noses. James tested positive in his nose. Matt said its not an infection but a colonization in his nose. He is in isolation for the next 5 days and is getting antibiotics in his nose for the next 5 days. Hes in isolation because it can easily be transferred from baby to baby. He isnt contagious to anyone else, and we can still hold him and what not. He just has to stay away from the other babies in the NICU for now. Matt also said when we get there at 4pm hes going to take James off CPAP temporarily and put him on high flow cannula so that I can feed him with a bottle! I get to feed him with a bottle for the first time EVER! And itll be his first time ever getting a bottle too!! ❤️😍 so excited!! James is fine though. Matt said not to worry about this and its not as big of a deal as it seems. Hes doing wonderful still 😍😃❤️🙏💜👊🍼❤️ I cant wait to see him!!! gofundme/babyjamesdodysmith
