Jamie Bennett is speaking today at the Michigan Municipal Leagues annual convention (mml.org), being hosted this year at Northern Michigan University in Marquette Michigan. In doing our background reading, Jamie Hand ran across this article that Mark Wyckoff wrote for the Michigan Sense of Place Council (miplace.org) that breaks down placemaking into four types: standard, strategic, creative, and tactical. Its a really good reminder that all any of us are talking about is working together to make places where people want to live, work, and play.
