Jamie, I am so very proud of you and your courage to come forth concerning this plague upon all of our children!.. I too was a victim of molestation, and rape from the age of four to seventeen, and my mama knew about all of it, yet still allowed these monsters to live in the same home with me; One including my own biological Father!.. Then later on it was a boyfriend that picked up where my Father left off at the age of twelve.. I think back on it now, and there were neighbors, and friends of my mama that knew who never came forward to try and protect me!.. These children need our voices for they have no one in this world to protect them, especially when their own family turns a blind eye. Which in my case, my mama blamed me and had such hatred for me even on her deathbed.. I have, and will probably always be in Therapy for these scars that no one sees but me!.. I think you are a very brave and special soul Jamie for bringing this to light, and I also hope you seek some type of Therapy if you have not done so already to begin the healing process because it takes so very long to overcome the guilt, and so many other problems that are associated with molestation, rape, etc. It did with me anyway, and I am now fifty years old dealing with these demons!!!..
