Jan.16, 2013 “Like an April rose” I. Every move that we’ve made had its own cause, Like of an empty heart that wastes a tear for repose; Our individual mode of life, then, is contributed by our past To let ourselves start once more Such as the morning that waits at dawn II. Indeed, if one man’s DEVOTION remain stippled from his PAST, Unable to forego from the utmost stream of his ordeal; His glimpse of tomorrow would still be unachievable Since no one could win the race without letting one’s self pass the quests As to reach for tomorrow one should have passed today III. But, to go against the flow of our Heart’s desire Would sometimes becomes a bitter gal of illusion Such as the weather that changed its improper course For it drives our hopes to somewhere else unspoken In the guise of truth away from the SUN IV. And yet, as days gone along the course of time The people we may know had never met their path toward us So as to rescue us out from great despair Enough to the knowledge of our self-interpretation From the darkest sphere of yesterday V. Instead, the circumstances allowed us to engage our primordial situation When our clearing about of tomorrow were still dark and obscure And nobody came to quench our thirst and fill our stomach from hunger While the vicinity of our life was nothing more but dried leaves and dusts Until one morning came a rose which budding forth her petals for our relief VI. And yet, loneliest man as I am, as it were, only darkness is my friend When this peculiar creature came and gave birth hope into my heart; The prototype of our human existence; the unimagined heights and depths of our human lot Or the kernel and the acme of our birth were become more apparent with me VII. Though today is not an assurance of tomorrow To say that everything is well-fine as yesterday But, through the help of her commin’ in the eyes of hope; My loneliest life is gettin’ over For now she’s come like an April rose which grows in the desert.
