Jan 21, 1974 Los Angeles, California Aquarius Theater Set List Nothin’ to Lose Firehouse Black Diamond The performance was staged for an episode of In Concert. This was the band first television appearance. The show was aired March 29, 1974. A song was never broadcast and the master tapes remain missing to this day. Bill Aucoin recalls it was a disaster. The band was so nervous and played so loud that you could hardly hear what was happenbing. They had to pay Josh White and Dick Clark to go back and fix the footage. We couldn’t have them look bad on their first network show. Josh went in and spent hours and hours covering the mistakes up and putting effects on it; anything to make it look more exciting. Redbone, Foghat, Kool and the Gang, and Melissa Manchester also recorded appearances for the show on this date.
