Jan. 22, 2014 JESUS Heals on a Sabbath- JESUS entered the synagogue. There was a man there who had a withered hand. They watched Him closely to see if He would cure him on the sabbath so that they might accuse Him. He said to the man w/withered hand: Come up here before us. Then JESUS said to them: Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath rather than do evil, to save life rather than to destroy it? Bv they remained silent...w/anger & grief at their hardness of heart, He said to the man: Stretch out your hand. He stretched out & his hand was restored... Even on the day of rest, JESUS showed us that it is lawful to do Good. So let us do likewise! Then let us rejoice at the good that happens to others as does our Father in Heaven!
