Jan. 22 Fishing Report Sam and I left the Hosanna Hills office - TopicsExpress

Jan. 22 Fishing Report Sam and I left the Hosanna Hills office at 2:10 PM and headed to the Bertrand launch ramp area to see what was happening on the trout scene. We had 15 different colors of power bait paste and one Panther Martin lure. Sam tried the lure for about 20 minutes and caught one trout. He then switched to bait and joined in the catching fun. With the exception of natural white, we caught at least one fish on every color we had with us. The trout bite was great but the bite of the wind finally persuaded us to head back to the office after the 20th trout caught, (and released). There were a couple of fly fishermen at the launch ramp who did not appear to be doing very well in the fish department, which was somewhat odd. Sam and I arrived back at our starting point 1 1/2 hours after we left to fish. Not too bad! Tomorrow, there is generation scheduled from 7 through 9 AM and from 6 through 7 PM. The high temperature for tomorrow is expected to reach 46 degrees F. under partly sunny skies with WNW winds at 2 MPH, gusting to 8. If the trout are biting tomorrow like they were today, it would be a same to miss the opportunity to get out and take some fish home for supper!
