Jan 26th-The Market vendors in Ho Chi Minh City are not shy....today when Jan and I ventured into a market near the center of town, I was literally taken by the hand and positioned in the back of the stall so I that could not exit. I was subjected to an assault of sales rhetoric that rivaled the Tet offensive...finally I was able to escape only to be grabbed by the next sales lady, she would not let go of my hand....the best was the vendor who had me try on some shirts, and when we were negotiating the price, I suggested that I saw the shirt for less at another place, she quipped back not Buddha size...so I punched her in the face and then got some ice cream....Im kidding....ice cream is hard to find here....no pictures, barely escaped with all my limbs...and my self-esteem...
