Jan. 8th: leaf cutter ants crossing the trail to our cabin after the night walk. I cant find the Ogden Nash poem so heres bits of what I remember- The ant, a prodigy of strength Lifts object twice his weight and length He never stops or sighs or glowers Because its after working hours Though underground he bears the onus and peril (?) without thought of bonus (insert missing verse, or verses, here lol) The ant has but one fault I see To whit- he doesnt work for me
