Jana and I made it through our sharing at the Psychosocial - TopicsExpress

Jana and I made it through our sharing at the Psychosocial Oncology Conference this afternoon . Meaningful experience. Reminded us of the gift of life and each other. Thanks much, to Emi Chapman, for bringing us in. As I told Jana afterward, I dont think God is done with the sharing of this story. When we were in the thick of things in our cancer journeys people would sometimes say, God is going to use this for good some day. Thats the kind of thing that is nice to say, but in the moment, when you are hurting, it is not very comforting. But... there was some for good going on today, I believe. Hearing a few comments from folks afterwards... I dont think God is finished with this story in our lives, or with us sharing it. Both challenging and rewarding to be on the ride, answering this call. Didnt ask to go on this ride.. (or several ADDITIONAL rides the first cancer ride led to.) And we wouldnt do it over if we could, but now.. with some time, we do indeed some signs of how God works for good in all things... even if not all things are good. God meets us in our weakness, so that we can help others in their weakness... thats a calling. Whats your weakness? Maybe it is YOUR calling, too. Onward...
