Janay Rice is perfectly capable of thinking and acting for herself, and Im getting tired of articles asserting otherwise. This isnt a case of pattern abuse but Deep down he really loves me!, which of course is all too frequent & not something Im making light of. But this is a sad scenario where its a first time offense & both individuals were charged, though of course Rice has more responsibility because of his strength. That being said, theyve payed their dues to the system & now paid highly personally with him losing his job indefinitely (even though the NFLs policy is 6 months for a first offender). If they both still trust & love each other & want to try & strengthen their relationship through the adversity, instead of letting it evaporate - more power to them. And what does it say about the media & us as a society that when she has a clear reason to end it and take half, but choose to defend & forgive, we scream NO!! YOU CANT DO THAT, WHATS WRONG WITH YOU!? We dont know her situation or her reasoning, all we saw was a video of the two of them probably at their worst. Lets keep the judgements & expert opinions to ourselves for once & let people live their lives.
