Janet wrote: Hi Everyone, Our mother Casey passed away peacefully earlier today. Below is the obituary that we just wrote for her. Thanks again everyone for all of your prayers...we are sure that Mom is now back with Dad and free from any pain. Kathleen “Casey” E. Miskell, 84, of Spring Street, Southbridge, was called home to the Lord on May 25th, 2014, surrounded by her loving family at home. She leaves her sons Timothy Miskell and his wife, Dini, of East Hartland, CT, Daniel Miskell and wife Eola, of Rochester, NH, Thomas Miskell of Merrimack, NH, Robert Miskell and his wife, Debbie, of Hudson, NH, John Pyle and his wife, Deb, of Woodstock, CT, Francis Miskell, USAF and Colorado Springs, CO, Brian Miskell and his wife, Sandra, of Woodstock, CT; three daughters, Jean Miskell-Sougnez Sougnez and her husband, Jeffrey, of Chelmsford, MA, Theresa Sires and her husband, Earl, of Conway, NH, and Janet (“JP”) Grene and her husband, Nick, in Ballybricken, Co. Limerick, Ireland. She was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Lawrence (“Deacon Larry”), a daughter Kathleen, a son Lawrence; her brothers Joe, Charlie, Cliff, and Norman Stronach; her sisters Eva Burton, Florence Kimball, Mary Windsor, Midge Stronach, and Janet Sturgis. She also leaves many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. She was born in Roxbury, MA, the daughter of Ross and Catherine (Cotter) Stronach. Casey was deeply committed to the Catholic Faith and became a member of the Third Order of St. Francis in 1963, and was also a Eucharistic Minister. She worked closely with Deacon Larry at St. Joseph’s Church in Charlton, MA. Casey was very involved with the St. Joseph’s Food Pantry, and helped many with their marriage preparations. She was also an active parishioner at Notre Dame Church in Southbridge, MA, St. Catherine’s Church in Westford, MA, and St. Mary’s Church in Chelmsford, MA. In addition to raising eleven children in a loving and welcome home, Casey worked in various Social Services Roles, as part of her lifelong dedication to helping others in many ways. Casey and Larry enjoyed travelling for adventure and to visit family and friends. They visited Italy, Spain, Ireland, Scotland, Hawaii, Mexico, France, England, and travelled throughout the USA. They especially enjoyed their WWII USS Altamaha Shipmates Reunion Trips. Her funeral will be held on Wednesday May 28th at 10:00AM in St. Josephs Church, 10H Putnam Rd. Ext., Charlton. Burial will follow at 1:00 PM at Pine Ridge Cemetery, 130 Billerica Rd., Chelmsford. Calling hours will be held at the church on Tuesday May 27th from 4:00 to 7:00PM at St. Joseph’s Church, Charlton. Casey has requested that in lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to St. Joseph’s Church Food Pantry, 10 H Putnam Road Ext, Charlton, MA 01507. “Be not afraid, I go before you always.
