Jannah for Patience Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) - TopicsExpress

Jannah for Patience Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: None of you will lose three children by death and accept it (as Allahs will with the intention of earning reward), without entering Paradise. [Sahih Muslim] In a similar hadith, a lady enquired, O Prophet of Allah! What if only two children die? Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) informed her that the recompense is the same even for two. According to another narration, a companion enquired about the death of only one child. In this case also, the Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) conveyed the glad tidings of a great reward. The pain of losing a child is so great that many a marriage is jeopardized with this loss. It seems counter intuitive that when a husband and wife need each other the most, the death of one so dear to them would drive them apart. This fact only emphasizes the pain of loss: the sense of deprivation is so great that rationality doesnt exist any more. But many a Sahabiah has borne this pain patiently, with her marriage only being strengthened not weakened by the loss. This can only happen when one has true faith in the promise of Allah (subhana wa taala). When a person accepts Allahs decree then he/she does not have to annihilate him/herself or another with blame, guilt or anger. Generally, it is children who have not reached puberty that these ahadith are about. Miscarried fetuses also count, as Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: If a woman has a miscarriage, even the (still-born) fetus will drag its mother to Paradise provided she forbears with the intention of earning reward… [Kanz]
